Rancho California Water District (RCWD) is a local, independent special district established in 1965 under California Water District Law, governed by a publicly elected seven-member Board of Directors. RCWD provides reliable water, wastewater, and recycled water services across approximately 150 square miles, serving the City of Temecula, parts of Murrieta—including Bear Creek, Copper Canyon, and portions of The Colony—and unincorporated areas such as La Cresta, De Luz, and Temecula Wine Country . Committed to sustainable resource management, the District proactively addresses regional water challenges through long-term planning and infrastructure investment.
